Mount Sinai GPS Download - Trek Profile

Mount Sinai GPS Download

The above image illustrates the Mount Sinai GPS profile. (read the full guide to climbing Mount Sinai)

The images shows KM along the x - axis and height/altitude along the y axis. This profile is based upon ascending the mountain via the 'camel track', the most popular trekking route, and descending via the 'steps of repentence', the fast, more direct route down by stairs.

If you're knees aren't up to the steps, the alternative is to descend the way you came. Similarly if you're looking to make things tougher you can do this route in reverse by ascending the steps and descending via the camel track.

The profile is based on the walk from Sheikh Mousa Bedouin Guest House which is approximately 2-3 KM from the start of the track by the St Catherine's Monastery. If being collected by coach you can shave 4-6 KM from the profile above.
