It is possible to travel from Egypt to Jordan by sea across the Gulf of Aqaba between Nuweiba (Egypt ) and Aqaba (Jordan). All ferries run daily except for Saturdays when no ferries run.

Be sure to arrive at either port at least two hours early and be prepared for delays at either end. Cancellations are not uncommon due to bad weather and it’s best to avoid travelling during holidays and pilgrimage times when thousands head to the port on route to Saudi Arabia.
