Why Take a Trip to Egypt?

People, sunshine, culture, history, adventure, good times or all of the above?

So almost everyone knows about the pyramids right? But what else has Egypt got to offer?

How about ancient monuments from across the ages, a rich and fascinating culture, the terrain and infrastructure for a whole host of adventure sports, and year round sunshine?

Ancient Monuments

If you really love pyramids there are over 100 that you could see in Egypt if you really cared to.

Alternatively you could see a few (like the most famous ones at Giza and Sakkara), and spend the rest of your trip enjoying the country’s many other monuments built by the Pharaohs, the Persians, the Romans, the Ptolemy’s, the Greeks, the Arabs, the Mamlucks, the Turks, and even the Egyptians!

Ancient Christian Monasteries in Egypt are also some of the world's oldest and most revered.

Culture

When Egypt declared its independence in 1952, it marked the first time that Egypt was to be ruled by the Egyptians since the time of the Pharaohs. With so many cultures having a presence here during the two thousand year interim, it’s no wonder that Egyptian culture is so rich, fascinating and diverse. Read more about Egyptian Culture

Adventure Sports

You might not realise it if you spend all your time on the beach, but Egypt is actually a Mecca for adventure sports and outdoor pursuits.

Some of planet’s best diving and snorkelling spots are to be found in the Red Sea, and the rugged terrain of the Sinai peninsular is a playground for trekking, rock climbing, and burning about the dunes in jeeps and buggies.

Camel and donkey riding is also extremely popular, or for something altogether more lethargic why not sail across the skies in a hot air balloon. Read more about adventure travel in Egypt or hiking in Egypt or mountain biking in Egypt

The Egyptians

You’ll never feel alone with such friendly and hospitable people. The locals are curious and sociable and if you’re open to it, you’ll make plenty of friends. Read more about the Egyptians
